The Future of STEM: Our Young Members

Each year, the New York Academy of Sciences welcomes hundreds of Young Members, high school students ages 13-17, from around the world via our Global STEM Alliance mentoring and education programs. Young Members are part of a diverse group of innovators, explorers, and problem-solvers, united by a shared curiosity about the universe and a strong commitment to changing the world through STEM.

Students who apply and are accepted into qualifying STEM education programs will automatically become Young Members, entitling them to a number of benefits including a digital badge, exclusive access to selected Academy content, and one free year of Student/Postdoc Membership when they turn 18. To apply to our STEM education programs for students ages 13-17, click here. To learn more about Young Membership and its benefits, please access the FAQ tab.
